Congratulations, you’ve joined the hosts of creatives in the tech industry. Welcome to the bosom of tech.

It’s not new anymore that tech is the “new oil” and people are navigating towards it.

And then, there is you, who just started and can’t wait to start making this oil money everyone has been talking about. Sorry to burst your bubbles, not so fast.

I’m a lover of process and tech is all about the process. You can’t get a job in tech from thinking about the jobs, you have to do your part.

These processes are easy and like I always say with consistency and intentionality, you’ll do amazingly well in tech, not just tech but any other field of your choice.

  1. Put yourself out there:

Putting yourself out there is one of the toughest things you can tell an individual. This is because of self-doubt. People don’t want to be criticized, they just want to be accepted.

Regardless of these, it is important you put yourself out there, that’s how you get found. Doing this will make it easy for recruiters to find you and people to refer you to those who need your services.

2. Improve your Skills:

Being consistent will help your skills. Hone your skills. If you are not going to be good at what you do, don’t bother starting. Improving your skills will open you to more tech job opportunities. The higher your skills, the more valuable you are and the more pay you get.

3. Pimp your LinkedIn profile:

LinkedIn is a professional platform and is one of the go-to places to search for a job. There are lots of recruiters on LinkedIn who are looking out for people to work in their firm. Optimize your LinkedIn profile. State your profession.

4. Document Your Journey:

This will help you with consistency. It will also help you keep track of how far you’ve gone with your tech skills. Share your journey online. People love stories and they’ll love to know about your growth. Don’t be surprised when people start reaching out to you for jobs.

There you have it. How to land jobs in tech. Let me know if these tips work for you when you try them. Don’t forget to reach out via Instagram for more tech content.
